Victor and Vera's Story
Meet Victor, a four-year-old little boy who loves playing dinosaurs, racing Hot Wheels, and fighting crime as a superhero. His older sister, Vera, is five and lets her imagination run wild when she gets to play with her Barbies or Legos. The siblings are inseparable best friends and always hold each other close.
Their young mother, Adeline, recently fled an unsafe relationship. The little family experienced homelessness for a period of time before finding safety at CEDARS. Our staff were able to help Adeline and the kids secure a safe place to live, as well as learn essential skills—from budgeting to parenting—that are helping her live independently for the first time. Victor and Vera are thriving in the new apartment, taking in the joy that comes with having a room to call their own.
This holiday season, the siblings are among the many children in our care who are dreaming of a brighter tomorrow. Through the generosity of the community, their family will get to create special holiday memories this season.
Thank you for being a part of their story and for making the holidays brighter for kids like Victor and Vera.
