EXTERNAL ICWA Compliance Review

The Together for Indigenous Families Project Grant supports the development of best practices in Tribal/State partnerships to enhance compliance with the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and improve outcomes for Native American children and families.

This session will cover the current state of ICWA compliance within Nebraska’s child welfare system and state courts, by providing an overview of the ICWA compliance tool developed through the grant. Attendees will learn more about the data methodology, compliance tool, and preliminary findings of this ICWA compliance evaluation effort.
