EXTERNAL Childhood Development: A Review of Normal

Join our Fall Webinar Series exploring key topics in early childhood development. Featuring insights from Nebraska experts, you will gain practical knowledge on recognizing early signs of developmental concerns, understanding the impact of trauma, and supporting healthy growth and development.

All sessions will be held virtually via Zoom from 12-1 p.m. (CT).

Continuing Education: Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance, agenda, and handouts, which can be used for submitting and requesting CE credit on their own.

During this session, we will focus on the normal development and timeline for motor skills, verbal skills, and higher order thinking in early childhood. 

Objectives:

In this webinar, we will:

• Identify routine developmental milestones for children between ages 6 months to 4 years old.
• Review how development progresses.
• Review activities that lead to development on time.
• Begin to recognize abnormal delays.

Audience: 

This event is directed toward professionals who work with children who may be able to recognize development issues and advocate for children in need. 

Speaker: Dr. Evin Lackore, Pediatrician, Children's Physicians-Kearney

Dr. Lackore is a Pediatrician in Kearney, NE providing the full spectrum of pediatric care from Preterm infants through teenage years.  He enjoys rounding at the hospital, attending preterm deliveries, and seeing patients in clinic.  While not at work Dr. Lackore is active in the community volunteering on hospital boards and church committees.  When at home he enjoys time with his wife and 3 children.
