On February 12, 2010, The Historic Haymarket filled with the sweet smell of chocolate from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., at the Lincoln Embassy Suites, Downtown, as the 24th Annual Chocolate Lover's Fantasy began. This annual fundraising event brings professional and celebrity chefs of chocolate delights, together with chocolate connoisseurs, to raise money for a good cause.
Sponsored by the Lincoln Haymarket Development Corporation, the Chocolate Lover's Fantasy once again welcomes CEDARS as this year's benefactor. Proceeds from the evening will help the revitalization of Lincoln's Historic Haymarket as well as support CEDARS in its mission of helping children who have been abused, neglected or homeless achieve safety, stability and enduring family relationships.
In addition to serving delectable chocolate delights, there will be a Silent Action offering restaurant packages, gift baskets, antiques, artwork, jewelry, and more. Raffle tickets will also be available. Prizes include: A Lazlo's Chef and Ale dinner for 8 Package, A Sports Party Package featuring A Year of Beer from Empyrean Ales. Entertainment this year was provided by Darryl White Jazz Quartet.
