Troop #291 "Builds A Bear"

When Michelle Lingenfelter asked Girl Scout Troop #291 who they wanted to help, they responded that they wanted to help kids and chose CEDARS to be the recipient of their generosity. Eight, eight-year-old girls took the money they made selling Girl Scout Cookies and created their own unique, stuffed animal at "Build a Bear." Armed with elephants, dogs and bears wearing bikinis, pink tutus, formals and sportswear, Troop #291 made their way to CEDARS with their special delivery. The proud owners relinquished their toys, along with their names and adoption papers, with the assurance that they would be given to comfort children coming into CEDARS care. Thank you, girls, for bringing joy to others through your gifts!
